Device and usage information, collected automatically through cookies and analytics:

  • IP address

  • How you interact with the site, such as the pages you visit

Marketing information. Your email preferences, sign-up form data, how you interact with our email campaigns, and advertising identifiers from Meta, Google and TikTok.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

The legal basis for each use. UK GDPR requires us to have a lawful basis for everything we do with your data. Ours are:

Processing and delivering your orderPerformance of a contract
Giving you access to the members appPerformance of a contract
Answering your support messagesPerformance of a contract
Keeping accounting and tax recordsLegal obligation
Preventing fraud and verifying paymentsLegitimate interests
Improving the website and our productsLegitimate interests

Advertising cookies and pixelsConsent

Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object, and we will stop unless we have a compelling reason not to.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by trusted third-party providers. We never receive or store your full card details.

Klarna. If you pay with Klarna, Klarna collects the data it needs to process your order and may run a soft credit check for its Pay Later service. Klarna's own privacy policy applies, and is available at klarna.com.

The members app and your photos

Buying a plan gives you access to the FitMiss members app. We store your email address, your plan, and your training and supplement check-ins so the app can show you where you are.

Your progress photos never leave your device. They are saved on your phone, in your own camera roll, and are never uploaded to our servers. We cannot see them, and nobody at FitMiss can. If you clear your browser data or change device, the app loses its copy, so keep your originals in your photo library.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to:

  • Make the website work
  • Improve its performance and usability
  • Measure anonymous analytics through Google Analytics and Shopify analytics
  • Personalise advertising on Meta, Google and TikTok, only where you have consented

You can manage or disable cookies in your browser at any time.

How we protect your information

We take data security seriously. We protect your data with:

  • SSL/TLS encryption across every page
  • Secure servers and hosting
  • Restricted internal access
  • Regular security updates and audits
  • Shopify's enterprise-grade security environment

We do not store sensitive payment information.

Sharing your information

We share your data only where it is necessary, with:

  • Payment processors, including Shopify Payments, Klarna and Stripe
  • Shipping partners, such as Royal Mail and Evri
  • Our email service provider, Klaviyo
  • Website analytics tools, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel

We do not sell or share your data with unrelated third parties.

Where your data is stored

We are a UK business, but some of the services we depend on are not. Your data may be processed outside the United Kingdom by:

  • Klaviyo, our email provider, in the United States
  • Meta, Google and TikTok, for analytics and advertising, in the United States
  • Shopify, which hosts our store, in Canada and the United States

Wherever data leaves the UK, we only work with providers that give it an equivalent level of protection. Depending on the provider, that safeguard is UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the International Data Transfer Agreement issued by the Information Commissioner's Office. If you want to know which applies to a particular provider, email us and we will tell you.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it, and no longer:

Order and payment records

Six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as HMRC requires

Your members app account

Your email, your plan position and your check-ins, kept while your account is open. If you close it we delete them within 90 days, so you can change your mind and pick your progress back up. If you ask us to erase your data we do it within one month, as the law requires. Your progress photos are on your own device, so there is nothing for us to delete.

Marketing list

Until you unsubscribe. We also remove addresses that have not engaged for two years

Customer support messages

Two years from your last message

Website analytics

As set in the tool, currently 14 months in Google Analytics

You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time, and ask us to delete your data sooner where we are not legally required to keep it.

Anonymous statistics are different. We keep aggregated figures about how the app is used, for example how many women reach day 30, or which parts of the plan people skip. These are counts only. They cannot be traced back to you, they are not personal data, and we keep them indefinitely so we can keep improving the product. Deleting your account does not remove your contribution to a total, because there is nothing in that total that identifies you.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Ask us to correct data that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete your data, known as the right to be forgotten
  • Object to your data being used for marketing
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
  • Request a copy of the data we hold
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office

To exercise any of these, email hello@fitmiss.co.uk. We will respond within one month, as the law requires.

Age requirement

FitMiss products and this website are intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
